Peacehaven Botanic Park
Last updated on June 17th, 2019

Of all the parks and gardens in the Toowoomba region, my favourite would have to be Peacehaven Botanic Park. This is because it always give me a sense of peace.
About the park
Peacehaven Botanic Park in the heart of Highfields, a 15 minutes drive north of Toowoomba. The 5.3 hectare park has views of Gowrie Junction and the Bunya Mountains to the west.
The land was left to the community by Stan Kuhls, a farmer in the Highfields area. Toowoomba Regional Council along with volunteers from The Friends of Peacehaven Botanic Park now care for the area.
When you walk the paths, you will see number of native plants including some rare and endangered varieties. As well as the plants, there is are usually many birds flying through the trees or looking for food on the open grass areas.
